Just take a look at the new selected pvp hench builds and compare those with pvx wiki builds, over halve of the templates are IDENTICAL.

Not only did they not punish, or at least exclude them from the contest, no they actually plan to give them the equivalent of a money printing machine.

3) Not resigning as red is strictly dominated by resigning as red.

If you continue to believing you are "beating the system" that's fine, but to be quite honest, the joke is on you. I really don't feel like putting in more effort to explain more than this.

Couldn't resist this.
1) I win roughly 85% of my battles. Very few people stay and fight on these RR days. They leave on red or when they realize I'm not abusing the system they leave within 30 seconds. I'd be surprised if Red Resigners were making more keys than me, considering the amount of times they have to resign and my own experience with the times of fights. For some reason, everyone assumes HB takes 10+ minutes per fight, when in reality people quit once they realize they are losing and have no chance catching up.

2)I don't care how fast they gain keys. They feed my keys + give me my title regardless of if I'm blue or red.

If the jokes on me, laugh all you want. I'm loving the whining. Not only do I get to play legit (no fear of banning etc) but I get to hear the marvelous whining of players like you. <3.

People who type resign on red are pretty smart. Like that is right up there with beating Pre-Searing and remembering to breathe.

That's because the people who RR are found in the 999-960'ish ranks, above that you'll start playing with real pvp'ers. Way to be a dickhead btw, people like you is exactly why I bring a 4 healing monks team and some speed boosts. If you're on red, I take the shrine and if you don't leave you'll be getting an attriction battle for the next 20 minutes. Also lol at the notion that HB is pvp, I'd consider FA and JQ pvp a lot faster than that
960-999 is the RR ranks, no one else does it ae? Interesting theory. GL with the 4 healers thing, the funny thing is I know how much of a lie this is. People like you, who abuse the hell out of RR can't stand for a long battle, and reason with yourself that it is better to leave than to stay. And :/ HB is bad, but lets not go crazy.

TL;DR, I have great fun, farm at the same rate as RR people and don't have to resort to resigning to do it.

If you keep on winning and not resigning you'll go up in the rank and start playing with actual players, it's not hard to understand that actual HB players and RR'ers are naturally seperated by rank so they'll only be face each other.

And you have a lot of faith in what you're saying huh? Well sorry to say but no, while you're fighting me I'll be afk or doing minimal micro WHILE doing RR on my 2nd account, having both windows opened next to each other and all. So essencially you're wasting your time, not mine. As far as long battles go, I've had those idiots on Red leaving before I do.

ESSENCIALLY I have 5 windows opened up and only 1 of those is RRing while the other 4 are doing very serious HBing. So I'm wasting your time, not mine.

I don't want to argue, you already proved that you are fiercly dedicated to RR. I think it's a terrible idea, and you obviously love it and farm the hell out of it.

You think you are winning by going afk with healer builds. This only would hurt you. If you are truly afk and doing minimal management, it's very unlikely you will beat anyone with a 4 healer build. So you are delaying your own farm. People who aren't resigning on red obviously don't care either, since they aren't taking part in this RR day crap. Your the one grinding for keys on two accounts to maxamize profits here.

You surely have bested me, your prowess to /resign on not only one account, but two accounts at the same time is on a level of which I could not even hope to comprehend.

The main problem is people wanting certain rewards for which there is no better way to attain them, than to do stunts such as redsign.

Thus people not playing for the game but for the reward undermine the appeal of certain areas in the game.

I have identified 2 types of people in this thread:

1 - The players who play this RR thing. They are happy to map between outposts, watch a countdown timer and type /resign about half the matches. They get some virtual reward that their brain craves and are happy about it.

2 - The players who get their knickers in a knot over the above players. They see the RR thing as something morally offensive and are willing to dedicate lots of their time to harass the RR players as a punishment. They are being flamed while doing so, but keep on doing it in the belief that they are doing good for humanity. Reminds me of people who want to "police" their fellow drivers on the highway: "Here's a guy speeding, I'm gonna speed myself and do some reckless maneuvers to teach him a lesson!"

Now. Am I the only one who think both of the above are wasting their time and come off as extremely pathetic?

But by all means keep telling yourselves you are "enjoying" this so you feel happy while doing it. Gaming addiction will ensue I guess.

Yeah, obviously playing the game legit is punishing people. Who would have thought when you click enter battle that you might actually have to play a game?

I find it funny you're saying that when I couldn't give a shit about RR or when I don't stop playing other games and doing anything else in RR days, wich frankly is what I'm thinking that you think of me. No, I haven't proved anything and stop assuming things that aren't true. My goal with the 4 healer build isn't to beat anyone (btw 3 healers, 1 warrior, sorry) but it's to stop other people to winning me. That's why I said it would be an attriction battle remember? They either decide they want to 'play be the unwritten rules' and leave or they battle me for 20 minutes and will probably end up losing by a point, while I'm doing RR on another account. So I'm not losing my time on this, I honestly don't care about slowing my farm down.

Yes I am using 2 accounts, so what? Is that so strange that I'd want to maximize my profit? And are those comment of yours supposed to make me feel sad or to look at my life and see how pathetic it is what I'm doing? Seriously...

It drives the price of zkeys down so much, this was made by PvE'rs for PvE'rs. It's like people just don't care about anyone but themself. People who only PvP and make money from keys obviously don't make as much as someone who does DoA nightly or UW/FoW.

But alas who cares, because hero battles are getting removed.

Your previous posts state that you feel good when you annoy other people and enjoy seeing their frustration and rage expressed on screen. Basking in other people's misery is a character flaw the way I see it.

I'd also like to open up a discussion about "playing the game legit". To me, in a game, the only rules are the limitations set by the game structure. To quote the movie matrix: "Some rules can be bent and some rules can be broken." Since this is an online game and being somewhat supervised/moderated by Anet their explicit rulings must be taken into account as well. I think this is a really ineffective way of policing things.

In a competitive game people will use all means necessary to create an advantage over their opponent. When both parties have access to the same tools the match is fair. If one player has "hacked" the code or something similar this is cheating. If merely a part of a (broken) game mechanic is being (ab)used this is not cheating. It may be unethical or unfortunate but the way to fix it is not by laying down some moral code or banning the few perpetrators(spell check me please!) Anet can track. They should worry about mending the fence, fixing the issue.

Playing RR creates a relative advantage for those doing it in terms of zkeys over those who don't, but the opportunity is open for all. Playing with shadowform creates a relative advantage for those doing it in terms of ectos over those who don't, but the opportunity is open for all.

Do you see where I'm getting at? You can't "fix" this issue by referring the players to a moral code or by the /report system or some vague threat that "Anet will deal with you in due time". While the feature is there it is going to be (ab)used, and it's nothing illegal about it.

Griefing other players, however, is a much clearer breach of conduct.

No it is all part of the socialist world conspiracy, enginiered by the bolschewik comrades in a final atempt to end all capitalism, real & virtual and secure the final victory once and for all.

A rather childish response heralded as some kind of major insight when, in reality, it's just some guy who considers himself above it all but fails to understand irony.

My enjoyment from this game now only comes from trading and extending my Zaishen title, now you have every right to belittle me for craving some kind of virtual reward for whatever reason, but the fact is I find it enjoyable and you sound like a jerk talking down to me the others who do.

That you felt the need to come here and offer your profound wisdom shows that you're just as pathetic as the people bickering in this thread (myself included, before you get on that with a cheap shot).

As for it driving Z-keys down, in a few days (at the most) once the surplus amounts are spent on the chest, they'll find equilibrium once more with ecto. Zkeys are, after all, the PvP equivalent of our favourite pink globules and will always be balanced when no exploit is being used.

I got you really worked up there, didn't I? But maybe I touched on something important since you take such great offense. I can't come here and claim to be an expert on gaming addiction, but this emphasis on "working on my titles" with 'working' being the key word worries me. Also the fact that some of you are willing to dedicate so much time and anger towards "those who devalue my title!".

I have been skeptical towards the title system ever since it got implemented. It felt like people stopped doing activites they found enjoyable and spent more time on actions that were more cost-effective in terms of reaching the next tier in their title. I'm not so detached from human behaviour I don't see the motivation in having a goal to work towards, like your zaishen title. I just see this is as a more destructive incitament, not claiming to be an expert on gaming addiction here but this seems like something that will encourage such an addiction to me.

I am a little worried that Anet doesn't feel more of a moral responsibility for creating said addiction. As a company their prime goal is to create money for their share holders, and what could be better than making your costumers dependent on your product? I think the tobacco industry has some nice results to show. They are obviously aware of the risk since you get a message that "you have been playing for 3 hours. please take a break". Unfortunately the ambiguity is crystal clear. In TA you get awarded incremental rewards the longer your winning streak is, 1 glad pt after 5 wins, 2 pts after 10 wins, 3 after 15 and finally 4 pts for every 5 wins there after. The thing is it takes roughly an hour for every 10 wins, so once you hit those 10 wins it pays to keep playing if your goal is the title.

Meh, I guess I'm going off on a rant here that no one wants to hear about..

I notice that you try to insult me in all 3 of your paragraphs, and in your header as well. This is the guru way of doing it, isn't it? With the risk of sounding even more like a jerk on my high horse: I don't find that way of debating very constructive. I feel genuinely sorry if my previous post hurt you. It was meant as a wake-up call and to be provocative but in all my naivity I didn't mean to actually hurt anyone. But obviously when you label someone as "pathetic" that's hard to avoid.
So if you would refrain from personal insults or deragotory comments in the future I would appreciate it and I will try to do the same.
